Hi! I'm Julia,

As an artistic person, I have always had the habit of hoarding trinkets and interesting fabrics and outfits. My art started with myself and a group of friends getting wine drunk and going nuts in, as they would call it, my dragon horde. Being silly in front of the camera and encouraging the creativity of my friends helped me find my voice as a photographer, specializing in conceptual imagery in the intricate dance between light and shadow. My work comes from intuition and intention; each photo balances deliberate planning and spontaneous creation.

My approach to photography is based on the belief that every idea has a deeper story or can evolve into something completely different. When I start to shoot, I usually have a clear concept or vision, but that image inevitably morphs into something else. My photos embody the chaos of my artistic process.

I fully embrace my intuition when shooting. I trust my gut, even if it doesn’t make sense to me.
